Wai po's making kueys today for tmr's praying purposes.
ku chye kueh, glutinous rice kueh and huat kueh.
Allot alot of preparations to make before really making e kueys.
Baking e huat kueys.
lol..my wai po added some F&N orange juice to the receipe.
for glutinous kueh:
Cook e peanuts n remove e skin. add other ingredients and then cook e glutinous rice.
for cai kueh: Remove skins, wash and cut the radish, man guang and chong.
n slice e dou gan (dried beancurd)
Then mix and cook these together.
Making the pink dough also requires kungfu.
Tiring to be adding water then kneading e dough,
then add water n knead e dough again.
Repeat the process for a few times
until the texture and touch of the dough feels right.
Wrap e cooked ingredients in the pink dough skin.
Put them into the template mould thing.Press lightly.
Remove it. The picture on the template will be printed on the kuehs.
Steam e kuehs using e traditional way.
Okay..finally after many hours of preparations,wrapping and steaming,
the kuehs are done.
